TORONTO, July 23, 2018 - Today, Peter Weltman, Ontario’s Financial Accountability Officer (FAO), and his staff met with the members of the Independent Financial Commission of Inquiry to discuss the analysis the FAO provided to the Legislative Assembly in the recent FAO Economic and Budget Outlook and last autumn’s FAO Long-Term Budget Outlook.
In keeping with the FAO’s role as an officer of the Legislative Assembly, which is to provide independent and impartial analysis in support of all Members of Provincial Parliament, the FAO did not make any policy recommendations to the Commission.
The FAO looks forward to reading the Commission’s report.
