FAO Releases its Review of the Ministry of Transportation’s 2019-20 Expenditure Estimates

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

TORONTO, November 14, 2019 – Today, the Financial Accountability Officer released Expenditure Estimates 2019-20: Ministry of Transportation.

This report supports the Standing Committee on Estimates’ review of the Ministry of Transportation’s 2019-20 Expenditure Estimates. The Expenditure Estimates sets out the spending requirements for ministries and constitutes the government’s formal request to the legislature for spending approval.

The FAO’s report identifies key issues for the Standing Committee on Estimates to consider when reviewing the Ministry of Transportation’s spending request.

The report provides a financial overview of the ministry and discusses the government’s five-year transit and highway capital plans. The report further reviews proposed 2019-20 spending by program and identifies trends in transportation spending and program changes.
